Fall 2006 Women's Sportswear Collection Offers Comfortable Fit,
Contemporary Styling
DALLAS-Mar. 30, 2006-The ki by Orioxi Fall 2006 women's sportswear collection makes it's Dallas Women's & Children's Apparel & Accessories Market debut today in Exhibitor Booth #14608-WTC at the Market World Trade Center here.
Inspired by lifestyle designer Kathy Ireland, ki by Orioxi was launched Spring 2006 by parent company Orioxi International Corp., headquartered in Brea, California. The brand offers contemporary, casual knit styles in silhouettes cut to fit women 35+. The manufacturer's suggested retail price points for the collection range from $35-$80.
'It's very exciting to bring these clothes to Dallas Market. Our initial reception continues to be warm and enthusiastic. We are very grateful to the ki by Orioxi team, said Kathy Ireland, ceo and chief designer, Kathy Ireland Worldwide.
"The success of our line has been placed in specialty retailers around the country and the momentum is building towards the Fall 2006 line" said Chris Young, executive vice president, Orioxi International Corp. "We are proud to be a part of Kathy's billion-dollar enterprise."
With the Fall 2006 collection, ki by Orioxi continues it's design philosophy offering modern multi-tasking, American women feminine, free-spirited, on-trend fashion. Innovative fabrication and fit remain a ki by Orioxi signature. Fall 2006 heralds a new palette of deep, smoky hues with pops of rich berry color. Embroidery, beading and appliqué details accent throughout. This season, ki by Orioxi offers four deliveries - Frontier Dreams, Ventura Highway, China Rose and Tahoe Trail.
ki by Orioxi Frontier Dreams - Frontier Dreams utilizes cotton thermal for tops and stretch French terry for jacket, pullover, and pant. The French terry group has added spandex for better recovery, avoiding a stretched out or baggy knee. The contrast fabric and trim in this group is pinwale corduroy and crinkle velvet used as patches and pockets and at shoulder seams, drawstrings and back neck taping. The jacket and pullover graphics are combinations of flocking/appliqué and embroidery. The tee shirts combine embroidery and flocking with iron metal findings.
ki by Orioxi Ventura Highway - Ventura Highway is a group of knits, inspired by denim's attitude and construction. The jacket has all the constructed details and hardware of a favorite jean jacket. This style can be worn with the pull-on two- pocket knit pant that reflects denim styling with a faux fly, belt loop and grommet details. Metallic printing was used for several of the graphics in this group, as well as metallic thread for the embroidery. Novelty behind-the- neck prints provide added appeal.
ki by Orioxi China Rose - China Rose draws inspiration from fine kimonos and employs beautiful floral and butterfly embroidery. The addition of Lycra to this velour group is unique to the marketplace. In addition to Asian themed embroidery, the jacket has a zipper pull detail of a colorful beaded tassel giving this piece its handcrafted uniqueness. As with all ki pants, the back has slim styling built into the design. On the stretch velour bottom, a back yoke detail softens the silhouette.
ki by Orioxi Tahoe Trail - Tahoe Trail is inspired by the great outdoors of California and the peace of mind that nature evokes. Subtle peace messages are designed into the graphics of this color-rich group. Jacket, pullover and bottom come in luxuriously soft plush sueded stretch fleece. Both jacket and pullover have fun mini patches on the sleeve. The jacket has graphic on the back utilizing embroidery, appliqué and iron on hardware. The split henley shirt has a large tonal graphic on the inside of the t-shirt. Only the top portion of this graphic is visible from the outside, inviting the wearer to put the t-shirt on to see the full effect. The bottom has novelty piecing at the back yoke to soften the silhouette.
